T-Minus 5 days until marine bootcamp(SHIP DATE OCTOBER 18th, 2010)
Hey guys, its just a few days before I leave for boot camp. This will most likely be my final post before I leave. I decided to record a video and post it on my youtube page. Its got most everything I wanted to talk about. So go ahead and watch that if your interested in knowing whats going on. I’ll be sure to make a return video and explain how everything went and what I think about boot camp. I’m kinda nervous but kinda excited at the same time too lol. Unfortuantely I haven’t memorized my general orders or all of the ranks yet lol… I’m gonna get ripped on that im sure.. :O
This is my last post until after boot camp.

Hey Lloyd,
I wish you all of the best in your new adventure and I’m sure you are going to do great. I am rooting for you and I look forward to reading your updates when you get back from camp. You are absolutely correct about the hardest part being the mental because you are in great shape. Keep your head up and just do your best. I hope everything works out with your girl and remember that you guys are meeting in a very unorthodox way and if it doesn’t work out, it’s not the end of the world. But it sounds like there is a good chance for you both. All I mean is, don’t put too much pressure on yourself buddy. Stay stress free and focus on the work in front of you.
I have some ideas for you and your 8 hour wait at the airport since you cannot have any electronic devices with you.
- pen or pencil
- magazines
- crossword or puzzle book
- notebook (write your girlfriend and mom and/or family letters)
- stamps and envelopes

Thanks for all the support and advice robdomaine. I’m not looking forward to sitting at the airport 8 hours for my flight lol but those tips will help it go by faster

ps – be sure to give your Mom an extra hug and kiss and tell her not to worry. Try to write home when you have some free time to both your GF and your Mom.
